Uses Canadian lending limits (GDS 39%, TDS 44%) and the stress test — you must qualify at the greater of your rate + 2% or 5.25%. Lenders count heat, property tax and half your condo fees against those limits, and with under 20% down the insurance premium is added to the mortgage.
